Carol Adelson |
Carol Adelson is a consummate New York City professional educator. She was born in Brooklyn, and
attended Madison HS, NYU and Hofstra University. A certified teacher with an MA in Education, she specialized
in reading and math, and became an instructor at PS 221 for 28 years. There, she provided
guidance and support, and laid the foundations of learning for hundreds of children, who remember her contribution to their
future with frequent cards and visits.
Carol's children attended the NY City public schools, as have some of her (8) grandchildren, so
her commitment to the system is professional and personal, as well as lifelong! For the
past 11 years, following her retirement from the classroom, she has worked with educators at
all levels to provide superior supplemental educational materials to schools: in the classroom,
the library, and the resource center.
Carol's goal is to improve access to information and assist principals, teachers, school librarians,
parents and others in their efforts to do the same. Her goal, to participate in providing
a better future through education for all learners, keeps her energized, intellectually stimulated
and very, very busy.
